THE CHALLENGE

Over the past few years, Cineplex, like many other businesses, has seen a decline in revenue, mainly due to the growth of streaming platforms and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, now that the threat of the virus is subsiding, it’s important to remind people of the joy and magic of watching movies in a theatre.

The Concept

Cineplex provides a unique opportunity for its customers to escape from their daily routine through its theatres and entertainment venues. This cinematic experience encourages you to “laugh, cry, and feel… together.” Once the lights are dimmed, and the movie starts, you can disconnect from your thoughts and the outside world. This marketing campaign aims to reach its target audience by appealing to their primary need for an escape from daily life and their secondary need for a sense of community.

The Execution

I begin by creating a comprehensive search strategy. This involves identifying two key target audiences and developing a plan to achieve growth through SEO, paid search, and display advertising. Using a targeted approach based on thorough keyword research, I provide a complete company profile, a budget for paid ads, on-page SEO recommendations, and a detailed measurement model to track progress.
